The Opera House Theatre Players is having a special little Jefferson
gathering to observe the highly anticipated GREAT AMERICAN ECLIPSE
on Monday, April 8, from Noon to 3 pm at the city's Lions Park! The
park is probably the best location to witness this once in a
lifetime event that
also features an alignment of planets along with the sun and the
moon, something that happens only about every 40 million years.
All members and friends are invited to join us for the big event.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on while awaiting the eclipse
which will run
from about 1:47pm to about 3:06 pm.
There will be at least 20 pairs of certified solar eclipse glasses
available for a small donation. Popcorn, snacks and water may also
be available
courtesy of local stores also for a donation. Come and join your
neighbors and friends and experience this unusual event that will
move over the
central part of the state heading northeast.
